Program Description
Hangzhou Bay Bridge is a sea-crossing bridge, which stretches over Hangzhou Bay from Zhengjiadai Haiyan Jiaxing Zhejiang in the north to Shuilu Bay Cixi Ningbo in the south. The total length is 36 kilometers, the longest sea-crossing bridge in the world, 11 kilometers longer than King Fahd Causeway, linking Bahrain to the King of Saudi Arabia. The bridge has southern and northern navigations. The northern navigation is a cable-stayed bridge with twin towers and double cable plates steel boxes with the diamond style, whose main span is 448 m. The navigation standard is 35000 tons. The bridge was opened on May 1st, 2008. All the cables of the northern navigation of the Hangzhou Bay Bridge are produced by Shanghai Pujiang Cable Co., Ltd. BACK
